PK61 COFFEE TABLE | REPLICA
The coffee table PK61 is almost as elementary and minimalistic as modern comes. Originally designed and created by Poul Kjaerholm. The simplicity of the structure is condensed into a set of identical elements. A square and aesthetic design forms the functional base and reveals Kjaerholm’s development from an industrial designer to a modernist furniture architect.
The four stainless steel flat bar base legs are joined with machine screws that lend the table part of its unique look. The removable tabletop demonstrates Kjaerholm’s recurring principle of using the effect of gravity on elements within the structure to create the stability of the overall piece.
