Originally designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949, the Round Chair — often referred to simply as “The Chair” — is one of the most iconic examples of organic Danish design. Celebrated for its flowing lines and natural elegance, it became a symbol of mid-century modernism and was famously used in the 1960 U.S. presidential debates between Kennedy and Nixon.
Our platinum replica faithfully preserves the proportions, presence, and craftsmanship of Wegner’s original. The hand-shaped semicircular backrest, tapered legs, and genuine leather seat cushion are all crafted to match the original scale and detail — unlike many smaller replicas on the market.
