Originally designed in 1949 by Italian architect Carlo Mollino, the Cavour Desk Replica — also known as the Protractor Desk — remains one of the most celebrated icons of modernist furniture. Our reproduction faithfully captures the original’s architectural beauty, now crafted in solid ash wood, tempered glass, and stainless steel.
The desk’s structure is defined by two boomerang-shaped ash wood beams, carved with rounded cut-outs that create a sense of lightness and transparency. Resting above, a 15mm tempered glass top floats on polished steel supports, offering both durability and refined elegance.
On one side, a slatted cabinet with five drawers anchors the desk; on the other, a single open-faced glass drawersupported by steel rods achieves balance and complete transparency. Every detail — from the floating bolt sleeves to the lustrous finish — reflects Mollino’s sculptural vision.
